The Disaster Home Repair Program (DHRP) has exhausted all of its funding. According to the DHRP guidelines, when all funding is exhausted, those who are still waiting will be notified that the DHRP is closed. Unserved applicants can reapply to the DHRP when additional funding is available. No preference will be given to previously submitted applications in future programs.
Currently, the Fifth Ward CRC is participating in a repair program in partnership with Complete Communities and CenterPoint Energy. The aim of the program is to make needed improvements to ready the home for improved efficiencies related to weatherization. This program is not in lieu of the Disaster Home Repair Program. Families must be located in the 77020 or 77026 zip codes, income eligible, and the home meets the criteria for participation.
